Belgian luxury appliance brand Novy has partnered with Cosentino to launch the Novy Undercover, an invisible induction hob fully integrated into a 20mm Dekton® worktop. Designed for homeowners and interior designers seeking a calm, minimalist aesthetic, the Undercover combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek, uninterrupted kitchen surface.
The Novy Undercover allows pans to heat directly on the worktop, with no visible hob and no surface protectors, creating a kitchen that feels clean, open and effortlessly elegant. Made in collaboration with Cosentino, the worktop uses Dekton®, a durable, ultra-compact surface renowned for its heat resistance, scratch-proof finish and stain-resistance. Easy to clean and visually tranquil, it transforms everyday cooking into a considered, design-led experience.
Measuring 390mm x 1070mm, the hob is integrated into the 20mm thick worktop, and can be installed above a run of base cabinetry or on an island or peninsula with a minimum depth of 600mm. It’s available in three or four side-by-side induction zones, each delivering up to 3700W of power, with the Flexzones functionality to allow zones to be bridged for larger pans.
Each zone has nine power levels and a 99-minute timer. Additional features include automatic pan recognition, worktop temperature protection, a Stop & Go pause function, grill mode (with dedicated grill pan), automatic user presets, and child lock — all designed for confident, precise cooking.
Minimalist centrepoints in aged silver mark each cooking zone, housing temperature sensors and subtle visual guides, while integrated residual heat indicators provide peace of mind. For additional safety, the indicators can even project onto the floor. The hob is controlled via the Novy Controller, a wireless interface combining a tactile rotary button and touchscreen for effortless power adjustments and personalisation.
When not in use, the Undercover disappears completely, leaving the worktop free for meal prep, dining, or even working from home. The result is a multifunctional surface that blends seamlessly into open-plan spaces, ideal for designers and homeowners creating a kitchen that feels calm and cohesive.
