TWO KEY SENIOR APPOINTMENTS SUPPORT GROWTH AT LEADING KBB LIGHTING BUSINESS

Sensio Lighting has appointed two new senior roles to their growing team based in Castleford, West Yorkshire. Gareth Griffiths joins the business as Sales Director after 12 years with the Bristan Group and 20 years within the KBB industry. Ian Simons brings 25 years of experience in senior operations roles in both SMEs and large multi-national organisations within manufacturing and distribution and has joined the team as Operations Manager.

Gareth will be responsible for delivering the ambitious growth plans the business has over the coming years, building a highly skilled sales team of business development and key account managers and taking the lead on some of Sensio’s national accounts. On his appointment, Gareth said: “I’ve grown up in this industry and KBB is my passion. I’ve had the pleasure of representing some great brands in my career and I’m delighted to be joining the business at a hugely exciting time and hope my knowledge and experience can continue to drive the business forward.”

With a career in senior operations roles, Ian has extensive experience within production, supply chain, quality and distribution overseeing major departmental installations and business integration and re-organisations. As Operations Manager, Ian is now responsible for all operational functions of the business heading up the Supply Chain, Quality, Distribution and Customer Experience teams.

Michael Linsky, Managing Director at Sensio, said: “Both Gareth and Ian bring significant expertise to our team. Gareth’s spent his entire career working with major brands within the KBB industry. He brings with him a wealth of experience in growing and leading large sales teams which is essential for us in this stage of Sensio’s growth to continue to support our customers.

“Ian is now well settled into his role of Operations Manager and is already making significant improvements to our internal operations infrastructure. We’re in a very fortunate position that after the difficult 2020 the industry found itself in, we’ve come through in a very strong position and these key appointments to the business are testament to the hard work of the whole team and a positive outlook for the future of Sensio which Gareth and Ian will help to lead.
