TITUS to Exhibit at KBB

Cabinet hardware expert TITUS is making a big impact at the kbb show 2018 by launching no fewer than three pioneering products: new-generation T-type hinges that provide the soft closing action preferred by end users, Quickfit TL5 high-performance dowels with enhanced pull-out resistance, and new additions to the Tekform drawer range, which optimise the use of space.

TITUS is also highlighting its pre-inserted Fastfit solutions, which simplify and speed up assembly of kitchen and living room furniture on site and in the home, as well as showing its versatile multipurpose dampers and previewing wall hanging brackets that incorporate multiple safety features.

Experts from TITUS will be available on the stand throughout kbb 2018 to provide information about the company’s latest developments and to give advice and guidance relating to visitors’ specific assembly requirements. They will also be pleased to discuss the TITUS Consumer Assembly Friendliness (CAF) service, which evaluates ready-to-assemble furniture and advises on improvements that will make furniture truly ready for assembly rather than just another piece of flat-pack furniture.

The new T-type hinges launched at the show require only a shallow hinge cup, which makes them suitable for use with doors with thicknesses ranging from 15 to 26 mm. Their ConfidentClose feature with adjustable damping means that they offer fast closing with late deceleration and quiet landing. In addition, they are exceptionally tolerant of misalignment and their unique 3Way snap-on mounting plate greatly simplifies door installation, especially with tall doors that need four or even five hinges. T-type hinges have passed FIRA tests for BS 6222-2-2009, Test Level H.

As well as enhanced resistance to pull out, the Quickfit TL5 Full Metal Jacket dowels that are being introduced at the exhibition offer tool-free insertion and incorporate an expanding sleeve that ensures reliable engagement in 5 mm dowel holes. They also have a self-adjustment feature that will accommodate edge to hole centre drilling variations of up to ±1 mm.

The popular range of Tekform double-wall drawers has been extended with the new slimline versions on show at the kbb exhibition. They feature a sleek and visually appealing design and incorporate TITUS hydraulic dampers to ensure a reliable and consistent soft closing action. They are available in a wide range of attractive finishes that complement contemporary furniture designs.

Visitors to the TITUS stand will have the opportunity to discover more about the company’s reliable, trusted and cost-effective Fastfit pre-inserted solutions that utilise existing manufacturing techniques. These solutions are universally recognised as saving up to 50% on cabinet assembly time with ready to assemble furniture as they reduce the number of parts needed and the number of assembly steps. In addition, the Fastfit system of pre-inserted cams and dowels ensures strong joints and accurate alignment of the finished furniture.

The multipurpose dampers showcased on the TITUS stand are offered in long- and short-stroke versions, with damping force (for short-stroke types) up to 350 N. They combine compact construction with outstanding durability and can be customised to suit specific applications.

TITUS has chosen kbb 2018 to preview its new wall hanging brackets. These provide a safe, convenient and dependable way of securing cabinets to a wall. Safety features include an anti-derailing lock, fail-proof adjustment with a positive stop, and a depth adjustment screw that is riveted to prevent it being fully unscrewed. Production of these innovative brackets will start in the near future.
