Symphony Kitchens has received The Most Recycled Kitchen award from The Used Kitchen Company

The Award recognises the retailer who goes over and above to be sustainable and exceed their recycle targets in the kitchen sector.
Family run business Andrew Eldon Designs received the accolade after selling the most ex-display Symphony kitchens through TUKC in 2021. Andrew Elden Designs is a well-established independent kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showroom based in Whiffler Road, Norwich.
Speaking about the accolade, Andrew Eldon said: “We were so thrilled to receive this award and be recognised for recycling our displays and of course saving tonnes of kitchen waste going to landfill.
“Working with The Used Kitchen Company takes away all the stress and aggravation that comes hand in hand with selling displays. It just makes total sense for us and for the environment to recycle our displays in this way. We will certainly continue to use TUKC and couldn’t recommend their service highly enough.”
Since the Symphony Group has partnered with The Used Kitchen Company to improve sustainability in the kitchen sector, hundreds of ex display and used kitchens have been recycled, helping to not only prevent tonnes of kitchen waste going to landfill, but also saving a sizeable renovation chunk for consumers’ pockets, with many ex display kitchens available at 50-70% off RRP.

Looeeze Grossman, founder of The Used Kitchen, said: “Since the company’s conception in 2005, The Used Kitchen Company has saved more than 20,000 tonnes of waste going to landfill. As a sustainable business, we’re always delighted when a retailer partners with us to sell their ex-display and clients’ kitchens. Our customers are always delighted to find not only a real bargain, but a high-quality design for their home.
“We are so incredibly proud of the partnership with Symphony and what it has achieved in its first year. Congratulations to Andrew Eldon Designs, they’re such a deserving winner and it’s great to see them really utilising the partnership. We are delighted to have found so many of their displays new homes.”
Established in 2009 the business continues to be run by Andrew and his co-director wife Debbie who focus on delivering exceptional design, quality and service. Andrew has been designing and selling Symphony kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms for most of his long-standing career in the KBB industry and the Whiffler Road showroom exclusively displays and sells Symphony furniture. Symphony has recently been proud to award Andrew Elden Designs the accolade of being a Premium Retailer in recognition of their long-standing partnership combined with delivery of excellent design and customer service.
Commenting on Andrew Eldon Designs win, Simon Collyns, Group Marketing & Retail Sales Director at Symphony, said:
“Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do here at Symphony, which is why our partnership with The Used Kitchen Company (TUKC) is so important to us. We are thrilled that one of our retailers, Andrew Eldon, has sold more than 10 displays under the project to help promote and extend the life of old kitchens by finding them new homes. This well-deserved award demonstrates a commitment to recycling and sustainability and we look forward to continuing a successful partnership with both Andrew Eldon and TUKC.”

The Used Kitchen Company sells ex displays for more than 1200 retailers nationwide helping to prevent tonnes of waste going to landfill and assisting showrooms to reduce the hassle and cost of removing or storing their displays. This award is another testament to the exceptional work carried out throughout the industry to promote sustainability.
