A dedicated team of Symphony employees successfully completed a 20-mile charity walk, raising an impressive £3,170 for two vital children’s charities. The walk saw the team trek from Symphony’s Head Office in Barnsley to Sheffield Children’s Hospital in support of The Children’s Hospital Charity and The Sick Children’s Trust.

The team, consisting of George Burtoft, Emma Watson, Brett Roberts, Robert Newton, Emma Banks, Steven Banks, and Sharon Vurgest, embarked on the challenge to give back to charities that have provided essential support to Symphony employees and their families. The funds raised have been evenly split between the two organisations, helping to enhance medical care and provide accommodation for families of sick children.Screenshot 2025 04 08 161911

Starting at Symphony’s Barnsley headquarters, the route followed the Trans Pennine Trail, passing through Meadowhall before culminating at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Despite the physical challenge, the group completed the journey in under seven hours, motivated by the generosity of supporters who helped them reach 63% of their fundraising target before the walk even began.Screenshot 2025 04 08 161919

George Burtoft and Emma Watson, who played a key role in organising the event, later presented donation cheques to both charities. Their efforts, along with those of their colleagues, reflect Symphony’s commitment to supporting local communities and making a real difference in the lives of children and their families.

Symphony extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and supported the team throughout their journey
