The MHK Group has successfully concluded its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held from 27th-29th March at the Estrel Berlin bringing together more than 2,800 members and partners from the UK, Germany, Spain and France. The weekend was set under the motto of “Creating Value Together” and focused on collaboration, strategic dialogue and industry inspiration within the MHK network.
“Each year, the spirit at our Annual General Meeting is unmatched,” says David Morris, Sales Director, MHK UK. “In 2026, the energy in Berlin was remarkable. Standing alongside our UK members and our colleagues from across Europe, you could truly feel what sets the MHK community apart: our shared commitment to progress, collaboration and genuine partnership. Events like this remind us that our strength lies not just in our numbers, but in the way we support one another as independent businesses with a common vision for the future.”

Strong sense of community, partnership and innovation

Attendees engaged with the expansive “living & style” exhibition, where more than 100 MHK suppliers and system partners showcased the latest innovations and trends shaping the European KBB market. The exhibition once again served as a central meeting point for networking and business development.
Various keynote sessions, including contributions by Volker Klodwig, CEO MHK Group, Thorsten Hallermeier, CDO MHK Group, gave the members valuable insights into MHK’s innovations and its visions for the future of the kbb sector. Special guest Richard David Precht, German philosopher and author, addressed in his talk the importance of confidence and adaptability in a rapidly changing world – a topic that is more relevant than ever in the current market situation.

Following the introduction of a hands-on workshop programme in 2025, this year’s AGM offered an expanded format with sessions tailored to provide concrete value for business owners. Highlights included:
•“Artificial intelligence: The future starts now!” with AI expert Christian Buchholz
•“Designing with Emotion: Colour, Material & Finish” with Judith van Vliet, design specialist and jury member at the Fuorisalone Award during Milan Design Week

Recognising Excellence
Throughout the event, the MHK Group continued its tradition of honouring outstanding achievements within the kbb sector. With the Golden Triangle Award MHK UK celebrated some of UK’s most impressive kitchen designs and showroom. And the MHK Excellence Award recognised exceptional contributions from industry and manufacturing partners. These awards once again underscored the importance of craftsmanship, innovation and collaboration across the MHK Group’s network.

Festive finale: gala evening
The conference programme concluded with an unforgettable gala celebration on Saturday night. Guests enjoyed a spectacular evening programme featuring performances from Lounge Deluxe, alongside a musical highlight by acclaimed German artist and Eurovision participant Max Mutzke. The weekend closed with a high‑energy set by New City Beats, providing a lively backdrop for final conversations and celebrations.
The 2026 Annual General Meeting reaffirmed the MHK Group’s commitment to creating value through partnership, cross-border collaboration and continuous innovation. Over the weekend, the event once again demonstrated the strength of the MHK community and its shared vision for a successful and forward‑looking future.
