Stuart Clark joins Aqualisa as Head of New Product Development
Bathroom product specialist Aqualisa has appointed Stuart Clark as head of new product development. Stuart will lead the company’s product innovation strategy, and will be instrumental in expanding its reach into international markets.
With 16 years’ experience at Morphy Richards, where he most recently held the position of head of product innovation and quality assurance, Stuart was responsible for the development and launch of numerous award-winning consumer appliances. He also managed strategic business partnerships, oversaw the introduction of a successful quality control programme, and was influential in the creation of a STEM education centre for disadvantaged children. At Aqualisa, Stuart will be focused on driving forward innovation, particularly in the smart bathroom category, and will spearhead the company’s new product development and sustainability strategies. He will collaborate closely with Aqualisa’s marketing and supply chain teams to devise and implement a long-term innovation roadmap that will extend the firm’s penetration into global markets. Stuart will head up a team of design engineers based at Aqualisa’s manufacturing facilities at Westerham, Kent.
Stuart Clark commented, “As pioneers in the digital and smart shower category, I see enormous potential for Aqualisa to grow its leadership in this sector. I’ve always been impressed with the organisation’s reputation for quality and ground-breaking approach to product development, and I believe my experience in consumer technology will help to deliver its ambitious roadmap – particularly in the field of smart bathroom solutions. I’m excited to work with the company’s talented design engineers, and look forward to growing the team and building on its already proven success.”
Stuart commenced his role on 17 May 2021 and reports to Paul Pickford, technical and innovation director at Aqualisa. Paul added, “I’m extremely pleased to welcome Stuart to the team. He’s an exceptional NPD leader, and with his additional expertise on board, we have an outstanding opportunity to grow the Aqualisa portfolio with advanced solutions that will blaze a trail in the smart bathroom arena. Furthermore, his knowledge of innovation and environmental best practice will ensure that we continue to deliver best-in-class products that meet the highest standards in safety, sustainability and customer experience.”
