The new Saniboost Smart booster pump is finding favour in Ireland not long after its launch thanks to solving a low water pressure that exists around parts of the famous capital city. The latest installation by Jacks Pumps solved an issue in a large domestic dwelling in the city. The stunning house has a basement and 2 floor levels with 6 bathrooms in total. But when multiple showers and taps were running at once, the water flow was just a trickle, despite the present of a fixed constant speed cold water booster pump.
Jack Phelps, owner of Jacks Pumps – a renowned pump repair specialist servicing the whole of Ireland– was called out to find a solution to the perpetual slow flow problem. Liaising with Saniflo in Dublin and the local merchant, Davies Ltd, he decided to replace the old pump with a new Saniboost Smart.
This new booster pump from Saniflo has one inlet and one outlet. The cold water from a tank feeds the pump on the inlet whilst the discharge pipe splits into two – one continuing as a cold-water feed to the cold water taps and WC – and the other fitted directly into a combi boiler. This heats the water via the element and the pressurised hot water is then directed to the hot taps, shower etc.
Jack set the water pressure on the Saniboost Smart pump to 3.5 constant pressure and this has completely solved the issue. Both he and his client are extremely impressed with how much constant pressure the small compact Saniboost can produce.
“My customer can now run multiple showers and taps with no drop in water pressure. With the Saniboost Smart it is even possible to make the pressure higher or lower with just the push of a button. It is really easy to install and commission for any qualified plumber and I am definitely going to be using this in other installations.”
The same pump has also just been installed in a Dublin city pub, which now has a constant supply of hot water to feed the ever-busy glass washer.
