- Leeds-based bathroom retailer signs lease on new 16,353 sq. ft. warehouse, more than doubling its warehouse capacity after a record year for online revenue
- Additional capacity will increase stockholding, support faster fulfilment, and create more room for range and own-brand expansion
- Five hires across marketing and warehouse operations lift headcount by 20%, including first dedicated in-house PR and social media appointments
Leeds-based bathroom retailer Sanctuary Bathrooms is expanding its operations after a record year for online revenue, including leasing a new 16,353 sq. ft. warehouse in Holbeck, Leeds and adding five new hires across marketing and warehouse operations.
The family-run retailer, which supplies homeowners and trade customers across the UK with high-quality, competitively priced bathroom fixtures, fittings, and accessories, secured the lease on the additional Hobeck unit in August 2026. The new site adds to its existing 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse operation, taking its total warehouse footprint to more than 28,000 sq. ft.
The expansion follows double-digit growth in both online revenue and transactions between 2024 and 2025, with 2025 marking a record year for online revenue. Website sessions and page views also increased by more than 20% over the same period.

The additional space will allow Sanctuary Bathrooms to hold more stock on site, reducing its reliance on external storage during busy trading periods and helping to shorten customer lead times and fulfil orders more efficiently.
It will also give the retailer greater flexibility to broaden and diversify its product range at a time when economic pressures are prompting many manufacturers to streamline ranges and reduce stockholding. Sanctuary Bathrooms has continued to expand its offer across different styles and price points in response to customer demand, adding established brands such as TOTO in 2025 and Laufen and Imex in 2026.
Additionally, the increased capacity will support existing supplier relationships, create opportunities to work with new partners, and accelerate plans to expand Sanctuary Bathrooms’ own-brand range with UK and overseas suppliers.
The investment in operational capacity is being matched by growth in the team, with five new hires made across marketing and warehouse operations in 2026. The additions have increased the company’s overall headcount by 20%, from 24 to 29, including 60% expansion of the marketing team and 33% growth in warehouse operations.
Among the new appointments are Rebecca Parvin-Graham as Digital PR Manager and Halle Audsley as Social Media Manager, marking the first time Sanctuary Bathrooms has brought dedicated PR and social media roles in house. The appointments will strengthen the retailer’s PR, social media, and wider digital activity, while supporting agency relationships and growing its profile in Leeds and across the UK.
Rebecca brings extensive agency and in-house media relations experience, most recently leading global PR and communications for SaaS companies BrightHR and TestGorilla. Halle joins Sanctuary Bathrooms following her role as Marketing Executive at Buy It Direct Group, bringing experience across social media, marketing, and commercial roles.

Commenting on the signing of the new warehouse lease, Director James Roberts, says: “We have never shied away from investing in our people or the infrastructure needed to grow. Securing this additional warehouse capacity is an important step in scaling the business and gives us greater control over how we stock and fulfil orders.
“Customers expect fast, reliable fulfilment, while challenging market conditions mean retailers need the flexibility to respond quickly. Holding more stock ourselves will help us shorten lead times, broaden the range we can offer, and reduce our reliance on external storage, while creating the capacity for further growth.”
On the company’s online growth and investment in its team, Digital Marketing Manager Mark Fullilove says: “Since bringing marketing in house in 2020, we have seen sustained growth in our online business. That success depends on every part of the customer journey working together – from product choice and marketing through to stock availability, customer service, and delivery.
“The investment in additional warehouse capacity and new expertise across the team gives us a stronger platform for the next stage of growth. Bringing dedicated PR and social media roles in house will also help us build our profile, strengthen our presence in the KBB sector, and introduce Sanctuary Bathrooms to new audiences across the UK.”
