Palio Trade by Karndean to launch contemporary rigid core flooring range with decorative herringbones

The industry’s trusted flooring brand Palio Trade by Karndean is kick starting the year with a completely refreshed and expanded collection of rigid core designs in contemporary wood and stone effects, including herringbone options.

The popular Palio Core range, first launched in 2017, is the market’s premium easy-fit rigid core range and the go-to product for tradespeople looking for the latest designs with a durable hygienic surface and a convenient click-locking format suitable for installation over existing floors.

Available from January, the updated Palio Core collection introduces nine brand new wood plank designs, with three also available in a desirable herringbone format, and three new stone tile designs as well as many established favourite designs. In addition, each design in the Palio Core range is available with a 100% colour matched scotia to ensure a seamless finish.

The new Palio Core range offers a stunning collection of 14 wood and five stone designs ideal for the modern interior. The collection is expected to find favour in a wide range of settings, from family homes and community living developments to commercial interiors such as hospitality and offices.

Each wood design has been inspired by natural materials and combined with cutting edge technology to offer all the beauty of the original but without any of the practical downsides. From the pale pinky-beige tones and fine close grain texture of Salerno, the ideal neutral floor for a cool minimalist style, to the rich chocolate browns and smoky dark highlights of Scopeti which effortlessly balances bolder colour palettes, decorators will find the perfect floor to complement any interior.

For the first time, Palio Trade by Karndean introduces an on-trend herringbone plank option. Three new wood designs are available in both full sized planks (1220mm x 179mm) and a smaller herringbone size (596mm x 149mm); Modena with its frosted honey tones, Monza which adds a fresh mid-grey wash and Genna which brings a cool grey rustic charm. With this additional flexibility, tradespeople can achieve an effortless sense of continuity and the latest textured look by taking the same colourway throughout an interior in different laying patterns.

The updated and expanded stone collection presents three new (307mm x 600mm) elegant stone designs in a choice of popular colourways, from the cool white marble effect of Massa with characteristic veining in pale shades of grey to the mid and dark grey travertine tones of Carini and Catania.

Matthew Brown, head of trade at Palio Trade by Karndean, says, “Our new look Palio Core collection offers greater flexibility and design choice for pros and tradespeople looking to achieve a superior floor finish in a durable LVT format. Likewise, it gives merchants easy access to flooring that their customers love, but in an easy to fit option.

“We’re excited to bring our new designs to UK wide trade counters and we’re confident our new herringbone options will open up new opportunities for pros.”

The perfect alternative to laminate flooring, Palio Core is a hard wearing flooring that can stand up to the busiest of interiors. Waterproof and easy to keep hygienically clean, Palio Core is also compatible for use with underfloor heating for extra comfort underfoot. What’s more, a pre-attached acoustic backing gives enhanced sound protection, reducing noise transfer between floors by 19dB.
