Love Island Star, Olivia Bowen, has launched a brand-new exclusive colour palette with Valspar Paint. As a long-time fan of the brand, Olivia has created a palette that is colourful, feminine, and perfectly balanced between bold and soft.
Consisting of shades inspired by the ‘Bowen Home’, and the anticipated arrival of her baby girl, this palette was designed to help fans decorate with ease and style. Olivia has been a fan of Valspar Paints when decorating her own house, appreciating the durability that’s needed for a busy family home, and ultimately wanting to bring that chic, long-lasting decor to her audience.
Olivia loves dark and bold colours, and one of her absolute favourite colours in her home is Rushing Red, a sensual and sophisticated shade, perfect for bathrooms, bringing that pampering feel to your interiors.
With a newfound confidence in her own interior style, Olivia added two more bold colours to her palette. She recommends Tuxedo Blue for a versatile, yet striking shade that exudes elegance, and Midsummer Night, a dark teal shade that creates a moody atmosphere. Reflecting on her love for dark and bold colours, Olivia says she feels they represent gaining confidence with interior design and that the moodier colours in her home are actually her favourites.
The more reserved and calming tones of Stone Terrace and Gentle Lamb are the perfect backdrop for the Bowen living room. These shades provide a comforting and soothing aesthetic in the living room, where the family can relax. Olivia finds the shade Stone Terrace to be the perfect living room colour as it’s a rich, cosy, brownie-green that’s warm, neutral, and just the right amount of quirky for the space.
The nature-inspired Rugged Olive builds on the countryside charm and chic, working perfectly with the natural wood materials in their home. Cathedral Morning is a key colour in Olivia’s palette. A gentle and delicate pink which has a stunning, whimsical quality, perfect for the new baby’s nursery, which has been largely inspired by Olivia’s favourite childhood book, The Complete Book of Flower Fairies. Alongside the fairy theme in the nursery, the room is romantic and cosy. Adding to the whimsical nature of the home, Olivia rounds off the palette with a serene baby blue, Dreamstress, inspired by her grandmother’s doll house, which is in the Bowens’ home office.
Speaking about why she chooses to use Valspar Paints in her own home, Olivia said: “There are so many things that I love about the Valspar brand. From the durability of the paint, the incredible colour range available, to the unique services like the Colour Matching Tool they offer. I have a beautiful doll’s house that belonged to my grandmother, and I used the Valspar colour matching tool to get the same colours created as a paint. So many people don’t realise that you can take a photograph of a colour, or something from your home, and get the exact colour mixed for you in store at B&Q. It’s so special being able to incorporate this into my home and have it as an ode to my grandma.”
Adding to this, Lucy Steele from Valspar Paint said: “The palette Olivia has curated is so beautiful and really captures the essence of the Bowen Home. It definitely provides so much inspiration for anyone decorating their home, not just interior design gurus! The shades can be purchased in all Valspar paint types; they are versatile and affordable for all home decorators. These colours are perfect for creating a bold, fun, and comforting vibe in the home that still works for busy households and growing families.”
