New G8 Dishwasher Range leads major product innovation across dishwashing, laundry, floorcare, cooking and extraction
German premium appliance brand, Miele has unveiled a major programme of innovation at IFA 2026, with new appliances and intelligent technologies designed to make everyday household tasks simpler and more intuitive.
Under the theme “The End of Housework Is in Sight”, Miele is showcasing new products across dishwashing, laundry care, floorcare, cooking and extraction, alongside concepts exploring the future role of artificial intelligence in the home.
Among the key highlights are the world premiere of the new G8 dishwasher, the expansion of Miele’s latest W2 washing machine and T2 tumble dryer generation, the new Duoflex HX2 cordless vacuum cleaner, and new additions to its hob and extraction portfolio.
Dr Reinhard Zinkann, Executive Director and Co-Proprietor of Miele, said: “Our customers shouldn’t have to be experts in programmes or functions. The expertise has to sit in the appliance. The more decisions technology takes off our hands, the more important trust in the result becomes.”
G8 brings greater intelligence to dishwashing
The G8 Diamond detects the load, adjusts the wash cycle accordingly, dispenses detergent automatically and ensures reliably clean and dry dishes – even plastic ones.
The highlight of the G8 Dishwasher range is the top-of-the-range model which introduces a new feature, AutoVision. An integrated camera, image processing and AI-based recognition is able to identify how full the dishwasher is and what types of items are inside.

AutoVision in the top of the range G8 Dishwasher recognises the load level and different types of items in the dishwasher.
The appliance can then adapt the wash cycle accordingly, increasing cleaning intensity when pots are detected or optimising drying when plastic items are identified. Selected models within the G8 range also introduce ExcellentDry, Miele’s new hot-air drying system, alongside AutoDos with PowerDisk automatic detergent dispensing, which releases the required amount of detergent at the optimum point in the programme.
Efficiency is also built into the system. Depending on the selected drying setting, the G8 can achieve energy efficiency of up to A -25%, while connected functionality allows users to set preferences in the Miele App so, for example, the dishwasher only starts once it has reached a preferred load level. It can also be set to run It can also be set to run when enough solar energy is being generated at home.
Redesigned baskets and an enhanced cutlery drawer provide greater flexibility when loading.
W2 and T2 laundry generation expands

A new, consistent design language: modern user interfaces, high-quality glass doors and a porthole door that is more than 25 percent*3 larger are features shared by the W2/T2 models
Following the successful launch of the top of the range NOVA models, Miele is expanding its latest W2 washing machine and T2 tumble dryer generation, bringing new technology and design features to a broader range of models.
Highlights include capacities of up to 11 kg, SmartMatic, which adapts water, energy and detergent consumption to different load sizes, and QuickPowerWash and QuickPowerDry, which can wash or dry loads of up to 4 kg in 49 minutes.
Features including DryCare 40, WoolDry, Pre-ironing and Miele’s TwinDos automatic detergent dispensing system are designed to simplify laundry care while protecting fabrics.
The new washing machines exceed energy efficiency class A by at least 20%, with selected future models achieving up to A -60%.
Duoflex HX2 vacuums, mops and cleans itself

Duoflex HX2 with Miele’s first self-cleaning station for cordless handstick vacuums, the dust container is automatically emptied after use.
The new Duoflex HX2 cordless vacuum cleaner extends Miele’s floorcare range with the option to vacuum and wet clean in a single pass.
The new AquaTurbo wet cleaning tool can pick up dry dirt and damp spills, while selected models feature an AutoCareBase that removes hair from the floorhead and automatically empties the dust container into a bag.
A separate AquaBase cleaning station automatically cleans the wet-cleaning rollers after use.
The Duoflex HX2 also offers up to 50% longer runtime than the previous generation, with up to 70 minutes available in handheld mode.
The launch comes as Miele prepares to celebrate 100 years of floorcare in 2027, including a Heritage Edition of selected appliances featuring historic colours and branding.
More choice for cooking and extraction

The KM 8684 FL PEBE induction hob in the new Pearlbeige colour option – matches extraction in the same colour
Miele is also expanding its cooking portfolio with new colours, appliance formats and intelligent cooking technology.
The premium KM 8000 induction hob range gains a new Pearlbeige finish, while M Sense technology enables compatible cookware and the hob to communicate continuously, automatically adjusting power to help prevent food from catching or boiling over.
M Sense will also be available on the forthcoming KMDA 8683 FL hob with integrated extraction.
For smaller kitchens, Miele has developed the 60 cm KMDA 5649, bringing its hob-with-integrated-extraction format into a standard-width appliance.
Miele is also relaunching its gas-on-glass hobs in the KM 30xx series and introducing additional matt black and integrated extraction options.
AI points towards the future

IFA also provides a glimpse of how Miele sees AI simplifying appliance use in the future.
Its Cary concept study explores a washing machine capable of recognising the laundry inside the drum and automatically selecting the appropriate wash programme, settings and detergent dose.
Meanwhile, CulinaryCoach, Miele’s AI-based cooking assistant within the Miele App, can interpret requests submitted by text, voice or photo and recommend suitable cooking methods and appliance settings.
Dr Markus Miele, Executive Director and Co-Proprietor of Miele, said: “Technology shouldn’t make extra demands on us in everyday life; it should give us back time and attention for other things.”
