MHK, leading European buying group for the kbb sector, has signed British bathroom product brand, QX Bathroom Products (a division of Qualitex Supplies) as a supplier member. Already known for its prestigious and highly competitive roster of kitchen supplier members, this new partnership signals an exciting further expansion in the bathroom sector for MHK UK.

“I am delighted to welcome QX Bathroom Products to our supplier roster. With this partnership comes a new and exciting platform that bolsters our bathroom offering, particularly for retailer members looking to widen their project scope from kitchens to other spaces within the home,” says David Morris, Sales Director for MHK UK. “Much like our members, QX has retained its independence as a family-owned business for many years. They understand the importance of working with independent showrooms and can offer the level of quality and service that our members have come to expect.”
Graeme Andrews, Managing Director at Qualitex Supplies said: “For us, becoming a supplier to MHK’s members is an exciting opportunity to grow our business with independents. In return, its members will
across the whole bathroom range.

We look forward to supporting their members in growing the bathrooms side of their businesses, offering opportunities to expand their scope with a ‘Good, Better, Best’ product offering to cover all project types, tastes, and budgets.”
QX Bathroom Products joins a strong cohort of new MHK suppliers onboarded in 2024 including BA Components, Alku and Rotpunkt.
David Morris continues: “Our supplier strategy has always been heavily focused on quality over quantity. I am proud to say we now offer access to over 75 outstanding brands across kbb categories including furniture, appliances, flooring, lighting and added value sectors such as audio visual and outdoor kitchens to the UK. As a result, MHK UK members are enjoying negotiated prices, improved payment terms and a protected centralised payment system that supports the growth of their own profit margins.”
Alongside access to high-quality kbb suppliers, other key benefits of MHK membership for retailers include:

1.
Better cashflow
MHK negotiates better buying terms for members from the leading suppliers in the kitchen and bathroom industry allowing for better margins and competitive pricing. Terms include open ended credit to support cash flow, 30 days to pay (including early settlement discounts) and a centralised payment system allowing you to pay all suppliers in a single transaction for simplified financial administration.

2.
Centralised payment for all suppliers
The process for purchasing is the same for all, meaning retailers never need to fill out individual credit agreements for each supplier. Thanks to this, retailers can offer their customers a “price staircase” of different products and brands to cater for different budgets. MHK even offers access to its exclusive in-house kitchen brand, Xeno which comes with a 10-year functional warranty and the opportunity to earn market-leading rebates.

3.
Market-leading bonuses
MHK negotiates generous annual supplier bonuses for members, many of whom choose to reinvest back in their businesses. MHK members have used bonuses to open new showrooms, fund vehicles, and additional members of staff.

4.
Support across marketing, finance and design functions
Working as an independent retailer often means navigating the challenges of running a business without a dedicated support team. That’s where MHK steps in to offer invaluable assistance.
Through 17 in-house service companies, the MHK Group can offer expert advice on all aspects of a retailer’s business across management, cash flow planning, and marketing, from starting a business to succession.
In the digital age, MHK UK also recognises the difficulty of generating quality sales leads for independent retailers, offering tailored marketing support tools for retailers to utilise. This is why we have our own consumer-facing website Kitchen Experts which proactively directs customers to retailer members that choose to become part of the Kitchen Experts network.

5.
Being part of a community
MHK UK firmly believes in providing a supportive network that allows independent retailers to benefit from the kind of resources typically reserved for large, established businesses, whilst still retaining their independence.
Its members are made up of a community of like-minded entrepreneurs who understand the unique challenges and triumphs of running an independent kitchen studio business.
