It’s about partnerships with Königstone, the leading name in zero silica stylish worktops. Here we look at retailer, Kitchens Bespoke, and the mutually beneficial relationship the two companies have developed together.
Kitchens Bespoke
Rachael Workman’s Kitchens Bespoke is a boutique, high-end kitchen design studio in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The business specialises in beautifully crafted, tailor-made kitchens that blend timeless design with modern functionality. Renowned for a personalised approach, Kitchens Bespoke works closely with each client to create truly bespoke spaces, combining premium materials, meticulous attention to detail and expert craftsmanship. From initial concept through to installation, the team delivers elegant, considered interiors that reflect both individual lifestyles and exceptional design standards.
Partnership with Königstone
Kitchens Bespoke chose to partner with Königstone due to a shared ethos centred on quality, transparency and reliability. The relationship began nearly a decade ago during a showroom refurbishment and has continues to strengthen over time.
Quartz remains a popular choice among clients, particularly in lighter finishes such as Bianco Islo and Calacatta Oro, while porcelain is gaining traction for its durability and contemporary appeal. And Königstone delivers the very best in these surfaces, especially with the recently launched KönigZero range which combines premium stone design and everyday durability – all designed without the use of silica-based quartz.
For Rachael, Königstone’s service stands out for its speed and efficiency, particularly in quoting, which enables the team to respond quickly when presenting designs. Templating is consistently accurate, and any issues are resolved promptly and professionally. Overall, the partnership is built on trust, responsiveness and a shared commitment to delivering the best outcome for every client.
Rachael’s journey to kitchens
Rachael’s work in the kitchen retail industry is shaped by a creative background and an evolving passion for design. As a trained artist, she has an HND in Textiles, and has always focussed on form, texture and visual composition. Her early career began with hand-drawn kitchen showroom concepts which sparked a deeper interest in furniture and interior design. 14 years were spent at a furniture design company where she built both her technical knowledge and design expertise. By immersing herself in the process, Rachael developed the ability to bridge creativity with practical application.
In June 2008, Rachael established her own independent showroom, just months before the financial crash. Starting small, she took on every role within the business, from designer to driver to finance manager. This experience-built resilience and reinforced her commitment to delivering a personal, fully managed service.
Today, the Kitchens Bespoke team provides a complete end-to-end service, managing design, supply and installation while overseeing every project with care and precision.
Customers and projects
Kitchens Bespoke projects typically range between £45,000 and £50,000 in value, reflecting a focus on quality, tailored design and long-term value. The customer base has evolved over time. Previously, clients aged over 60 were the at the core of the business; they are investing inheritance funds or planning for later life.
More recently, however, the demographic has shifted towards clients aged 35 to 55, many of whom are relocating from London and investing in local communities. These clients value trusted, independent businesses and seek more than just a kitchen – they are looking for a well-managed, thoughtful project delivered with expertise and accountability.

Business approach and evolution
Over the past three to five years, the business has remained deliberately consistent. As a small, dedicated team rooted in the high street, Kitchens Bespoke focuses on delivering a complete, one-stop design service. This approach ensures exceptional customer service and a seamless experience from concept to completion.
Rather than making significant structural changes, the team has refined what they do best – personal service, attention to detail and strong client relationships. Looking ahead, there is potential to expand into contract markets, particularly through collaborations with interior designers and architects, allowing the business to bring its expertise into a broader range of projects.
Customer expectations continue to evolve, particularly in how kitchens function within the home. There is a clear shift towards larger, open-plan spaces across all age groups. The kitchen is no longer a separate, functional room – it now serves as the central living space.
This drives demand for bright, spacious environments that combine cooking, dining, and socialising. While formal dining rooms decline in popularity, many clients incorporate flexible elements such as a snug or secondary space, creating a balanced and adaptable layout.

Design approach
Rachael does not follow a fixed design style; instead, each project is shaped around how the space needs to function. While aesthetics remain important, they are always guided by practicality and the way clients live.
Every design begins with understanding the space: how it will be used, the level of daily activity, whether it supports entertaining, and how it connects to other areas such as the garden through features like bifold doors.
By building this detailed picture, Kitchens Bespoke creates designs that balance beauty with functionality – spaces that not only look exceptional but enhance everyday living.
Craftsmanship and recognition
Kitchens Bespoke is a close-knit, in-house team, and collaboration is central to its success. A key member is Ned, the dedicated fitter whose craftsmanship sets the benchmark for every project. His attention to detail ensures that each kitchen is finished to the highest standard, reflecting both the quality of the products and the care taken during installation. This commitment to quality is recognised within the industry. In 2026, Ned received the ‘KBB Review Unsung Hero Award’, acknowledging his skill, dedication and contribution to the business.
Looking ahead
Over the next five years, Kitchens Bespoke will focus on maintaining its carefully balanced size – large enough to deliver high-quality projects, yet small enough to retain a personal, hands-on approach.
