Nolte Küchen GmbH & Co. KG has reached a gain in turnover of about 6% in 2019 from the previous year; and its sister company Express Küchen has gained about 8%. The kitchen furniture industry itself expects to see a small increase of about 2 – 3% in 2019 meaning Nolte Group is performing better than the industry itself. Both companies have operated at full capacity in the production during the complete year 2019.

Now producing 2.7 million units, the kitchen division of the Nolte group has reached a new record. At the same time, Express Küchen GmbH & Co. KG passed the point of one million produced units in the tenth year of existence of the company. The Group is showing steady and consistent growth not only of its product sales but also with its employees. At the end of December 2019 Nolte Küchen and Express Küchen counted 1560 employees in both companies in Löhne and Melle. That is 56 employees more than at the same time the previous year.

The Group continues to invest in its operations and significant improvements have been made across all production sites during the last year. Nolte Küchen has invested mostly in the increase of performance of the assembly technique, as well as the production of panels and splash backs. The production in Löhne has experienced huge investments in the prefabricated parts. Express Küchen invested in the extension of the dispatch area.

Nolte Küchen is planning further investment in the extension of the showroom at their headquarters in Lohne and offices. Existing facilities and processes will continue to be renewed, and Express Kuchen will expand its production site to cope with increased demand. In total, Nolte is going to invest a double-digit million euro amount which will be an increase on 2019.

The product development at Nolte Küchen is on the move as well: according to the research of the German institute for service and quality (DISQ) Nolte Küchen has been the most popular kitchen brand in Germany for years now. The preparation for the launch of the new furniture collection for bathrooms named „Nolte SPA“ continues at pace. The launch of the product will officially take place at the Milan tradefair (21st – 26th April 2020).

As well as continuing to improve the high quality of the product and an excellent service Nolte Küchen and Express Küchen are focusing especially on topics such as ‚sustainability‘ and ‚Made in Germany‘. Both companies have been working for several years now with material that has been credited with the FSC certificate. This means that the wood being used is taken from responsibly managed forests.

The Managing Directors Marc Hogrebe, Eckhard Wefing and Manfred Wippermann are confident that the kitchen division will keep growing this year, as the start of 2020 has already proved to be very strong.
