Meet the KBSA Designer Awards judges

What sets the KBSA Designer Awards apart is the robust and impartial judging process behind them.
The process began with every entry being carefully reviewed by Richard Hibbert and Renée Mascari
to form the initial shortlist.

Richard Hibbert: Managing Director of KSL Sudbury and KBSA National Chair, Richard brings over 20
years of hands-on retail and design experience.
Renée Mascari: With a career spanning decades in kitchen design and education, Renée is the
founder of Mascari Design and former CEO of the KBB National Training Group.

Shortlisted entries were then evaluated by a panel of respected industry experts. Judges scored
entries against four core criteria: how well the design met the brief, ergonomic and technical
compliance, use of materials and/or technology, and overall creative impact. All submissions
remained anonymous, with final decisions made collectively during a virtual judging session. The
panel comprised:

Ainhoa Bilbao (Head Judge): Award-winning architect and Creative Director of Bilbao Design, Ainhoa
brings a sharp focus on concept clarity, originality, and execution.

Elizabeth Pantling-Jones: Managing Director of Lima Kitchens, Elizabeth offers a strong commercial
perspective grounded in user experience and high-quality design.

Dan Stronge: With over 20 years in the industry, Dan is MD of Jones Britain and known for delivering
luxury kitchens with a practical, detail-oriented approach.

Andrea Hillier: As Customer Engagement Lead at Blum UK, Andrea brings specialist insight into
ergonomics, technical performance and product innovation.

Keith Myers: Founder of The Myers Touch, Keith combines creative flair with a holistic approach to
design, focusing on how spaces enhance lifestyle and wellbeing.
