New events, delivered with Plumb Centre, Fernox and Wera Tools, combine hands-on product experience, technical expertise, competition and exclusive rewards for installers
September 2026 – Ideal Heating has partnered with Plumb Centre, Fernox and Wera Tools to launch the Ideal Throwdown, a brand-new nationwide installer roadshow bringing together hands-on product experience, technical expertise and friendly competition across 26 events this autumn. Supported by Plumb Centre’s nationwide branch network, the programme will help connect installers with events in their local area and create opportunities to engage directly with leading industry brands
Taking place at darts venues across the UK from September to November, each event will welcome installers for an evening of virtual darts, a speed boiler strip-down challenge and the opportunity to spend time with specialists from Ideal Heating, Plumb Centre and Fernox.
The events have been designed to give installers more than a standard product evening. Ideal Heating knows how important it is for installers to get their hands on with the products they work with, so attendees will have the opportunity to get up close with the Logic MAX boiler and Logic Air heat pump, explore their key features and put questions directly to the people behind them.
Experts from across Ideal Heating’s Quality and Service teams will also be there, giving installers direct access to specialist knowledge and practical advice, while providing an opportunity to share their own experiences and feedback. It reflects Ideal Heating’s wider commitment to product quality and ongoing support for installers, both on and off the job.
The Ideal Throwdown is just another example of how Ideal creates experiences worth talking about. From Premier Club, where installers are currently building points towards Thailand 2028, to this year’s successful Swing into Heating Tour, which saw installers compete for tickets to The Open, Ideal has built a reputation for creating memorable incentives that go beyond the ordinary.
Performance in the virtual darts and boiler strip-down challenges will determine a national leaderboard, with one installer eventually crowned the Ideal Throwdown Champion. Alongside the competition, hundreds of pounds’ worth of Ideal Connect reward points will also be awarded across the installer events, with attendees receiving the points following their next qualifying boiler registration. The overall winner will also receive four tickets to the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace.
