Bathroom specialists, hib., is unveiling its design outlook for 2026, presenting four key trends that have been shaped by evolving consumer tastes and emerging interior influences.

The new themes build on hib.’s commitment to accessible, style-driven bathroom design, offering inspiration for homeowners seeking spaces that combine comfort, character and contemporary appeal.

The shift in the trends landscape highlights a continued move toward more expressive forms, tactile materials and finishes that bring warmth into the bathroom. hib.’s direction for the next 12 months  brings these ideas together through statement curves, tall profiles, gold accents and layered lighting, complemented by natural textures and carefully crafted detailing.

“More and more, people want bathrooms that reflect their personal style,” says Jasmine Rowe, Product Design Lead at hib. “Our 2026 trends capture that demand for a design that feels expressive, balancing softness and craftsmanship, but still refined.”

The four trends shaping 2026 are:

Mid-Century Reimagined

Soft curves, playful silhouettes and muted-but-colourful palettes define this trend. Its mid-century influence appears through curved forms and joyful accents that bring a gentle, expressive aesthetic to the space. Exaggerated shapes, such as wide slabs and softened edges, offer visual interest without overwhelming the room.Mid Century Reimagined RGB

Country Folklore

Inspired by artisanal craft and countryside influences, this trend centres on texture and warmth. Earthy materials, striped linear details and layers of warm browns and oranges are balanced with cool blues and off whites. The result is a bathroom that feels grounded and full of character, with handmade appeal at its core.Country Folklore RGB

Classical Grandeur

A modern take on luxury, this trend focuses on quality, scale and clean styling. Large forms, sculptural curves and statement marbles introduce a sense of quiet opulence. Classical accents and large-format patterns add depth while maintaining a minimalist, pared-back feel. Its grandeur expressed through restraint.Classical Grandeur RGB

Natural Imperfections

Rooted in neutrals and organic imperfection, this trend celebrates simplicity and serenity. Spa-like tones, soft textures and natural variations create an environment that encourages relaxation. Space, light and gentle detailing keep the aesthetic open and uncluttered, making wellbeing the central focus.

Across all four themes, texture plays a defining role, whether through wood grain, linear surfaces, natural stone, mesh or knurled detailing. Gold metallic accents and layered lighting also help elevate functional spaces into something more expressive and atmospheric.

“These trends show the direction we’re taking as a brand,” adds Jasmine. “They’re about meaningful design, pieces that feel good to use, look beautiful in the home and speak to the way people want to live.”Natural Imperfections Trend RGB 1
