When Decorex International opens its doors this October, one of the names to watch will be Hendel & Hendel. Returning for a second year, the British hardware maker is set to unveil a significantly larger stand, designed to showcase the scale and ambition of a brand fast becoming known for reimagining brass cabinetry hardware as crafted design objects in their own right.

Founded on the belief that handles and hardware deserve the same level of design thinking as any piece of furniture, Hendel & Hendel brings together traditional British craft, solid brass construction and contemporary proportions. Every collection is hand-finished, ensuring subtle variations in tone and surface that lend each piece character and depth. The result is hardware that sits comfortably in both heritage interiors and pared-back modern schemes, chosen by designers who value detail and longevity.

This year’s presentation introduces two brand new collections – Scroll and Harleston – alongside the launch of two new finishes, broadening the palette for designers and makers who want more freedom to tailor their cabinetry hardware.

Scroll is a sculptural solid-brass collection inspired by the unfurling of a parchment roll or textile spool. Its soft curvature and delicate taper create a sense of movement frozen in time, with a hand-finished surface that enhances both tactility and warmth. Available in multiple sizes and finishes including Burnished Brass and Dark Brushed Brass, Scroll is designed for versatility across kitchens, wardrobes and utility spaces. RRPs from £45–£120.

Harleston explores balance, combining a flowing silhouette with a bold rectangular profile. Influenced by the generously scaled handles found on historic buildings in Lincoln, the collection reinterprets enduring forms for modern domestic use. Crafted from solid brass with a tapered silhouette throughout, Harleston includes knob pulls, pull handles and cup handles. Its substantial feel and refined detailing make it equally at home in classic in-frame kitchens or streamlined shaker schemes.

Terry Haughton, Managing Director at Hendel & Hendel, says: “Returning to Decorex this year allows us to demonstrate the evolution of our collections and the way our design language continues to grow. We have increased our stand size to give designers more space to handle the pieces, see the hand-finishing up close, and understand how our hardware works across different door styles and scales. Scroll and Harleston continue our approach: solid brass, refined proportions, and details that earn their place on a project.

“But Decorex is about more than just the product, it signals our intent to work even more closely with the interior design community. This year coincides with the launch of our new London showroom, a dedicated space designed to be collaborative with the industry. It will give designers somewhere to bring clients, explore finishes, and develop schemes hands-on with our hardware.”
