BUSHBOARD REFRESHES OMEGA RANGE TO SUPPORT EVOLVING DESIGN PROFILES

Bushboard, a prominent UK manufacturer of innovative kitchen surfaces, has unveiled a refreshed identity for its long‑established Omega laminate worktop range, responding to a shift in how design consultants approach kitchen specification.

As part of Wilsonart UK, the market-leading laminate engineered surfaces designer and supplier, Bushboard has relaunch its Omega collection to support today’s more design-led projects, where worktops are playing an increasingly influential role in defining the overall scheme and becoming a key style driver alongside cabinetry.

The relaunch also reflects growing demand for warmer palettes, tactile textures and more ‘lived-in’ luxury, as designers seek to create more cohesive, high-end looks with greater visual impact.

The reimagined range is centred around three core collections. Its Sleek 22mm square edge collection includes seven design-led marble and stone inspired decors; that offer a stunning yet low-maintenance alternative to quartz. The Modern collection, which is a thoughtfully curated selection of eighteen sophisticated wood, marble and stone decors; all available with a modern 38mm square edge profile. And, completing the range is the Classic collection, which offers a range of sixteen 38mm postformed surfaces, that have been designed for timeless kitchens demanding beauty, practicality and performance; pick from a choice of wood, marble and stone decors.Screenshot 2026 06 02 093147 Screenshot 2026 06 02 093159 Screenshot 2026 06 02 093207 Screenshot 2026 06 02 093216

Omega’s updated branding and breadth of product formats, which include splashbacks, upstands and breakfast bar surfaces in addition to worktops, further underpins the company’s steadfast reputation for bringing complete surface solutions to life through quality craftsmanship and informed innovation.

Each décor set has been carefully curated to balance trend relevance with commercial viability. The palette has been shaped by feedback, gaps in the market and compatibility with leading cabinetry colours, ensuring that every décor works seamlessly with today’s most popular kitchen styles. Woodgrains, marbles, stones and concretes have been selected for tonal harmony, creating layered, on‑trend schemes such as contrasting or coordination splashbacks, or feature breakfast bars without visual conflict.

A key focus of the redevelopment has been ensuring complete cohesion across all products. Omega has been built to deliver one unified design language, with exact décor continuity across kitchen surfaces. Matching textures and finishes allow designers to switch between thicknesses or profiles without compromising the overall aesthetic, supporting both creative freedom and consistency across project specifications.

Emma‑Louise Braham, Product Manager at Bushboard, said: “We’re seeing worktops play a much more influential role in defining the overall kitchen scheme, often setting the tone alongside the door choice rather than being a secondary decision. There’s a clear shift towards large-format splashbacks, instead of opting for traditional tiles and stone-inspired surfaces, which reflects growing demand for warmer palettes and more tactile, lived-in finishes.

“For design consultants, this creates a real opportunity to guide clients more holistically, using the worktop to shape the look, while still allowing flexibility through different décor combinations to suit a range of tastes.

“Omega has been refreshed to support this shift, giving designers the flexibility to create cohesive, on-trend spaces without adding complexity to the specification process.”

All products within the Omega range are designed with performance in mind, offering low-maintenance, stain-resistant surfaces with antibacterial protection and a lifetime guarantee — delivering durable solutions suited to the demands of modern living.
