In collaboration with the renowned Design Academy Eindhoven and as part of the new design festival CURRENTS.Design, Kaldewei is showcasing selected student projects exploring sustainability, circularity and material innovation at its Berlin Brand Space. A panel discussion will open up a dialogue between the academy, industry and the creative scene.
As the German capital transforms into an international hub for art, architecture and design during Berlin Art Week, the Kaldewei Brand Space on Savignyplatz opens its doors for a special exhibition. In collaboration with the Design Academy Eindhoven, the premium bathroom manufacturer is presenting a curated selection of student projects exploring some of the most pressing questions facing the future of design: How can products be created to conserve resources? What role do durability and circularity play? And how can design open up new perspectives on sustainable living?
A platform for the next generation of design
Through this collaboration, Kaldewei reinforces its commitment to fostering dialogue between industry, design and research. The most outstanding works from a joint educational partnership with the Design Academy Eindhoven will be presented at the Brand Space in Berlin from 9 to 18 September. Each project offers a distinct perspective on rethinking sustainability, materiality and circularity, and highlight the role that design can play in shaping the future of our living spaces.
Part of CURRENTS.Design in Berlin
The exhibition forms part of the new Berlin design festival, CURRENTS.Design in Berlin. During the festival, showrooms, galleries and brands across the city will open their doors, inviting design professionals and enthusiasts alike to exchange ideas. Against this backdrop, the Kaldewei Brand Space becomes a hub for creative dialogue between emerging talent, established designers, architects and industry.
Panel discussion and networking reception
The exhibition will be officially opened on 10 September with a panel discussion bringing together representatives from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Kaldewei and selected students. The discussion will explore current issues in sustainable product design, material innovation and the role of design in shaping a more sustainable future. It will be followed by a networking reception, offering guests from the worlds of architecture, design, the media and the wider creative community an opportunity to exchange ideas.
