Bathroom supplier, Cubico, takes spot on Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100

Bathroom supplier, Cubico UK Ltd, has won a place on the annual Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100, making it the UK’s 64th fastest-growing company.

The wholesale bathroom supplier reported sales of £33.3m for the year end November 2019. However, in the last 12 months, its sales have grown to in excess of £45m and increased staff numbers to 420 people nationally, making it an even stronger contender for the 2021 table.

The company was founded in 2012 by managing director Craig Waddington, selling bathroom and tile products via its network of wholesale channels.

Craig Waddington said: “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at Cubico in the last eight years, and our recent acceleration in growth – during a difficult year – is something that we take immense satisfaction in. We aim to become the number one bathroom and tile supplier in the UK – and we hope to make the list for years to come.”

The Fast Track 100 is sponsored by Virgin Atlantic, BDO, DHL Express and N+1 Singer, and is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm.

Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Group, which has supported Fast Track 100 for all 24 years, said: “While we are living in extremely uncertain and challenging times, there is one thing I am certain of: entrepreneurs are the dreamers, the doers, and the innovators that have the power to have a positive impact on society. There are so many inspiring examples of this on the Fast Track 100 league table showing this is just as true, if not more so, in 2020 as it ever has been.”

This year’s Fast Track 100 achieved, on average, sales growth of 73% a year over three years to a combined total of £4.4bn. The companies are all profitable, and together they employ 32,000 staff, having more than tripled their combined workforce over the period.
