Conceived as a contemporary interpretation of Venice’s heritage, SensiVenezia translates the city’s memories, textures and visual impressions into surfaces with a distinctly evocative presence.
Drawing on Venice’s historic and artisanal legacy, the collection reimagines its codes through a contemporary architectural language. References to the compositional sensitivity and visionary work of Carlo Scarpa emerge in surfaces defined by refined material depth, precise detailing and the expressive potential of large formats.
The palette takes its cue from the city itself: earthy, nuanced tones recall the muted colours of the lagoon, while the terrazzo aesthetic evokes one of the most recognisable expressions of Venetian material tradition.
The collection marks a further evolution in the collaboration between Florim and Matteo Thun & Partners, rooted in a shared exploration of spatial perception and in the relationship between material, colour and vision. United by an ongoing rediscovery of Italy’s landscapes and material heritage, this design approach finds a new expression in SensiVenezia, where surfaces create enveloping, continuous environments and decorative richness enters into dialogue with the demands of contemporary architecture.
Across the entire Sensi project, perception is both the starting point and the guiding principle. Each collection adds a new layer to an evolving narrative in which material becomes space through the intelligence of craftsmanship, weaving together memory, sensory experience and technological innovation. Sensi, SensiTerre, SensiColore and SensiEtna together define a coherent and recognisable design language, at once expressive, rigorous and deeply rooted in material culture.
