AEG will showcase its latest kitchen, dishwashing and fabric-care innovations at IFA 2026, taking place in Berlin from 4–8 September.

Across its Taste and Care product categories, the brand will present new technologies designed to deliver more consistent and efficient results, helping consumers care for their homes and clothing with greater confidence.

AEG will also present ‘The Art of Hosting’, which will explore how Europeans are moving away from traditional ideas of hosting towards more personal, relaxed and creative experiences. It’ll bring together chefs and creatives from across Europe, looking to show how AEG technology can help to ease practical pressures, and give hosts more freedom to focus on connection and creativity.

What if everyday cooking could deliver more professional results at home?

Building on what was presented at IFA 2025, the Taste highlights include the AEG 7000 MealAssist oven with PizzaExpert, the only domestic oven validated by Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli, the internationally recognised Italian school dedicated to professional pizza craftsmanship, to deliver restaurant-quality pizza in two minutes and 30 seconds.[1]

From September 2026, PizzaExpert will be available as an over the air update with PizzaExpert Kit AEG on all AEG 7000 to 9000 series pyrolytic ovens with CookSmart Touch and CookSmart Touch+ displays.[2] The soon to be available PizzaExpert kit includes a perforated pizza peel and cast iron tray completing the experience.

AEG is also expanding its SaphirMatt® hob range, offering consumers greater choice in both durability and design. SaphirMatt® SE delivers 3x fewer visible scratches than a standard hob surface,[3] while the premium SaphirMatt® is up to 10x more scratch resistant than a standard hob surface.[4] At the top of the range, the 9000 SensePro® also features a thin-film transistor (TFT) touchscreen display to SaphirMatt® for the first time, giving consumers easy access to features including cooking tips, timers and cooking zone selection.

Across cooling, the latest AEG built-in appliances feature AI CoolAssist®, which automatically adjusts cooling and freezing conditions relative to how it is used. On future selected models, the Auto Rapid Freeze (ARF) takes this a step further. Enabled by AI CoolAssist®, it detects when non-frozen food is placed in the freezer and automatically activates a rapid temperature reduction, helping preserve the quality of newly stored foods. [5]

What if your dishwasher could take on even the toughest food residue?

AEG’s New Favorit 8000 and 9000 series dishwashers will also feature prominently at IFA.

The appliance showcases features such as the EasyFlex Pro baskets on the 9000 series that have fully foldable rows, while the 4in1 FlexHolder securely supports stemware, beer glasses and oven trays.

On 9000 XXL Max models, an additional five centimetres of interior height provides more room for larger plates and cookware while allowing the appliance to fit beneath a standard 90cm worktop.

ZoneClean also delivers two cleaning intensities during the same cycle, using two cleaning zones, applying greater pressure to pots and pans in the lower basket and reduced pressure to more delicate items above.

SuperSilent technology allows selected 9000 series models to operate at sound levels as low as 35dB,[6] while AquaSave activates the spray arms individually and directs water only where it is required. This enables water consumption of as little as 8.4 litres during an Eco cycle.[7]

The SatelliteClean® Pro, available on the 8000 and 9000 series, uses a double spray arm with two rotating movements to distribute water throughout the tub. The technology removes 100% of stubborn baked-on lasagne residue in a standard 90-minute cycle,[8] without using additional water.[9]

What if you could care for more of your wardrobe at home, with greater confidence?

At IFA 2026, AEG’s Care presentation will focus on helping consumers wash and dry a wider range of garments that many believe cannot be cared for at home, including wool, delicates and outdoor clothing. Wool remains a particular area of concern, with 67% of Europeans saying they do not fully trust their washing machine to care for woollen garments.[10]

AEG has worked with The Woolmark Company, the global authority on wool and its care, over many years to help challenge these concerns, developing independently certified programmes designed to care for wool safely at home.[11] Every AEG washer dryer carries Woolmark Blue certification, with drum motion adapted to the fabric type. In addition to this, AEG was also the first appliance brand to achieve Woolmark Green certification, the highest level of Woolmark accreditation for its tumble dryers.

For drying, the 9000 AbsoluteCare® Pro tumble dryer (Woolmark Green certification) features 3DScan Technology, scanning deep into garments to read humidity levels and ensure even drying throughout. The 8000 AbsoluteCare® tumble dryer uses heat pump technology with precise controlled drum movement and temperature, ensuring wool won’t shrink[12] and silk retains its shape.

This commitment to science-based garment care is also reflected in the AEG Care Index,[13] developed in 2024, which found that a gentler 30°C cycle can help keep colours looking newer for up to 50% longer than a regular 40°C cycle.

What if you could wash more, in less time, without compromising on care?

Also showcasing at IFA, is the latest AEG Onyx range, which combines garment care with faster programmes and larger capacities. Data from AEG connected appliances shows that a third (33%) of wash cycles now clock in under an hour, with a further quarter (25%) lasting between one and one and a half hours.[14] Further expanding within the Care range, the MaxWash 45’ washes a full load at 30°C in 45 minutes, while AI WashAssist adjusts time, water and energy use for smaller loads, reducing them by up to 30%.[15]

When it comes to drying, and on selected models in the future, SpeedDry dries up to 4kg of lighter fabrics in 75 minutes,[16] while SpecialCare Wash-to-Dry adapts drum movement for fabrics including wool and delicates. The range also includes AI Wash&Dry Assist, which uses AI-powered load sensing that can help automatically optimise time, water and energy use according to the size of each laundry load.

AEG’s Taste and Care innovations, alongside The Art of Hosting, will be showcased at IFA 2026 in Hall 4.1, Booth 101, where visitors will be able to experience the latest technologies and ideas in action.

As part of The Art of Hosting programme, AEG will also host The Art of Hosting x Sustainable Celebrations on 5 September from 12:00–12:30. Douglas McMaster (United Kingdom) and Penny Kwan (China) will explore more sustainable approaches to hosting and celebration, bringing the concept to life through food and design. Douglas will create a zero-waste pizza topped with vegetable-scrap nduja, while Penny will curate a tablescape inspired by the Chinese Mid-Autumn harvest festival, where every plate, material and lighting element has a clear purpose.
