Caple has waved goodbye to retiree Phil Smith who has stepped down from his role as North East Development Manager having handed the reins to Alix Thompson.
Amanda Atkins, Caple’s Northern Regional Manager comments, “During his tenure, Phil has been an exceptional member of the team and has developed the area growing existing accounts and welcoming new customers on board. Phil will be missed by his colleagues and customers alike, and it has been a privilege working with him. He is leaving the area in a very strong position ready for Alix to take over.”
Alix adds, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first month at Caple and have appreciated the chance to get to know the team. Phil has been exceptionally supportive from day one, and his guidance has made settling into the role far easier than I ever expected. After joining him on customer visits, it quickly became clear that he’s set the bar impressively high. With my background in the appliance sector, I’m hopeful the transition will feel like more of a natural progression than a leap into the unknown. I’m excited to get out and meet more customers and building the relationships that will shape a long and rewarding future with Caple.”
