New collection combines the affordability of off-the-shelf cabinetry with the custom feel of bespoke design

British furniture maker Goldfinch Furniture has unveiled a new modular kitchen collection designed for the way we live now — offering the speed and affordability of ready-made cabinetry, but without the limitations that usually come with it.

 

For years, standard off-the-shelf kitchens have been sold in fixed sizes, which can make it hard to use every inch of space or adapt layouts to suit changing lifestyles. With kitchens now expected to work harder — doubling as social hubs, workspaces and multifunctional family zones — this “one size fits all” approach often leaves corners wasted and storage potential untapped.

 

 

Goldfinch Furniture’s new range aims to change that. The London-based workshop, known for its handcrafted, sustainable furniture, has created a collection of 21 modular pieces that can be configured, customised and sized to suit any space.

 

The range includes base cabinets, larders, full-height cupboards and wall units, offered in three signature styles:

  • J-Pull – sleek, minimalist lines with integrated handles, ideal for contemporary spaces
  • Shaker – timeless framed-panel design with classic proportions
  • Scandinavian-inspired – simple, light and naturally warm solid-frame pieces

 

Each piece is crafted from responsibly sourced or reclaimed timbers.  Customers can choose from Wood Veneer or Birch Plywood for cabinet carcasses.  While doors are available in 10 materials including Oak, Cherry, Ash, Ebonised Oak, Elm, London Plane, Walnut or Limed Oak, and finished to order in a palette of colours and laminate finish.

 

Every modular kitchen still comes with Goldfinch Furniture’s renowned design consultation, delivery and installation service, and prices range from £490 for open shelving to £4,710 for a glass-fronted larder.
