LUSSO is pleased to announce that the Spectre Door Handle, personally designed by LUSSO CEO and founder Wayne Spriggs, has won the prestigious Archiproducts Design Award for Concept and Design in the “Systems, Components and Materials” category.
The award, presented at Superstudio Più in Milan, highlights LUSSO’s commitment to redefining luxury and precision in homeware and design, with Wayne Spriggs at the helm of the brand’s creative direction.
The Archiproducts Design Awards, now in their ninth edition, celebrate innovation and sustainable design by recognising the world’s most creative brands and designers. Selected by an esteemed international jury, including industry experts such as David Gianotten, Francine Houben, and Yama Karim, winning designs are chosen for their originality, aesthetic, and sustainability.
Wayne’s hands-on approach to design has become LUSSO’s signature, and the Spectre Door Handle highlights his drive to create functional pieces. Renowned for his attention to detail and commitment to unparalleled quality, flagship products are meticulously designed in-house by Wayne himself.
The Spectre Door Handle showcases LUSSO’s dedication to innovation, offering a distinctive pull-to-lock mechanism, concealed lock, and integrated safety release that was granted patenting for its uniqueness and functionality.
The handle, crafted from solid brass with a diamond-cut knurl inspired by British luxury cars, brings high-end design to residential and commercial properties. Sized to fit internal doors of 35mm to 50mm thickness, the Spectre is available in four finishes: brushed black, brushed gold, brushed nickel and gunmetal.
Wayne’s design excellence extends to LUSSO’s Lamp Collection, which also received recognition in the 2023 Archiproducts Design Awards for “Design Product of the Year.” Designed entirely in-house, the Lamp Collection is inspired by the silhouette of a classic lamp and includes a marble bath, pedestal basin, and countertop basin. The collection highlights Wayne’s ability to merge form with functionality, as each piece is made-to-order and individually handcrafted from solid blocks of marble – Carrara, Arabescato, and Pietra Grey.
